The label printers Vita and Compa can be equipped now optionally with a WLAN interface. The direct and wireless connection of these printers to a wireless LAN is possible.The used 'bridge' transmits the WLAN data to the internal second serial interface of the printer. If the printer sends data via the serial interface, these will be transferred by the existing WLAN connection.
• Wireless connection of a label printer to an existing network.
• An appropriate AP (AccessPoint) must be available (tested with LANCOM 811).
• Supported IP protocols: TCP/IP, UDP/IP, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, and ARP.
• Security: WEP (64/128) and WPA (PSK)
• Wireless LAN according to IEEE 802.11b/g (max. 10MBit/s).
• Configuration of printer with ConfigTool or
• Configuration file. This can be saved onto memory card of the printer and loaded from the card.
• WEB interface of the printer is not available.
• Effective data rate of approx. 5KByte/s (57600 baud)
